I HAVE ENCOUNTERED GOD!! ;D
for the last three days.. i went to a youth retreat organised by all the youth leaders(:
it was a really good experience for me and i got to know a lot of other ppl in YM;D
haha so registeration of the camp started on 12 june,8am and broke at 14 june,after service.
so here's wat we did..
DAY 1:
-played some games at the plaza
-session 1 - encounter God in the old testament(pastor bernard)
-break
-session 2 - encounter Jesus in the new testament(pastor bernard)
-lunch
-group time
-movie
-shower
-dinner
-night service
-devotion and sleeping time(:
DAY 2:
-woke up at 4am
-went to east coast park to watch sunrise(at the beach)
-played some games there too(:
-went back to church to shower
-grp time
-lunch
-encounter outside(when we went out of church to do random acts of kindness to ppl);D
-session 3 - encounter God today, here and now(pastor bernard)
-dinner
-show time!!
-night service and sleep time
DAY 3:
-woke up
-pack bag
-breakfast
-exaltation and testimony sharing(time when i actually ENCOUNTERED GOD!!!)
-11.15am service then homeee(:
yea so overall it was a awesome camp:)
lol anyway i'll start elaborating..
hmm i'll start wif group time(:
its wen we gather in our small little grps and discuss on a topic
ours was abt "how christians should approach the media"
hmm quite difficult i must say! lol
and had to make a skit then present it to the rest when its showtime!
haha we were one of the best two grps(:
&was the best overall performance grp:) thx to jillian=)
hahah so the prize was $80 ben and jerry's ice-cream voucher:)
mmmmmm!:D
for the movie, we watched Just Follow Law.
even though i had seen it before:)
but i guess a second time wouldn't hurt!
night service was a relaxing period of time in the chapel:)
where we devote our time to God? :)
woke up at 4am on the second day to go east coast to watch sunrise but it didn't really turn out well:(
cos there was lightning and thunder!
dam scary =S
yea so rush to macs to eat breakfast! oh and we were caught in the rain before so it was freezing cold wen we were in macs as it was air-conditioned!
lol den played games at the beach!
super duper fun to the ultimate max!!!! wheee^^
at one of the stations, we had to eat celery, cheese and green apples wif wasabi!
felt like puking lah. gosh still hv the taste in my mouth sia! lolxD
oh and then ivan poured flour on my head! ahh den all the flour got stuck in my hair -.- lol other ppl also kena;D
finally wen it was time, we headed back to church to shower:)
den in our grps, we went outside of church to pray for places like....
a school, another church, a worship place which is not a church etc.
and we also offered help to other ppl. but got rejected quite a few times:( hahaha!
went to contact 123 to talk to some of the kids.
they kept swearing lah! so unbelievable. haha but then again these kids come frm broken families, so must keep them in our prayers:)
on the last day, almost everyone cried!
God touched everyone's life on that day and changed our lives:)
overall, this camp rocked:) and i hv surely encountered God and He has changed my life to the better:D
after effects of camp:
SLEPT LIKE A PIG WHEN REACHED HOME!!!
